Teen Movie Day

Hi everyone! One of the many cool things about working in a PR company is that you always get to know all these interesting events. And the purpose of my blog is to spread the news, (which makes my blog and I cool~ lolz).

About Time Boutique is hosting a Teen Movie Day in Hello Brooklyn, located at 18 Commerce, between Columbia and Richards Streets, on Wednesday July 22. Teens that want to get away and have fun in the summer can join us for a four hours movie session with two fun movies for just $5! There will be food, popcorn machines and sodas. For those who need transportation from the train station (the G and the F train), there will be shuttle buses available for $1 to take you to the Hello Brooklyn site :) It's a day time showcase machine that you can't miss! Looking forward to seeing all of you there!

If you have any questions, please check out our site on facebook:

Krow Hill

Looking for something original? something Brooklyn? Check out the Krow Hill fashion line! http://www.krowhill.com/ed/index.htm

"Crow Hill, the original name for Crown Heights until 1916 is the true essence of Krow Hill, looking back to the original neighborhood, where slaves settled in the 1800's to discover freedom, is where we find that raw story that inspired our clothing, our lifestyle, our brand, the derogatory name of Crow was given to Blacks living here, yet we redefine it for a new generation." ----Official Krow Hill site

This newly established line has already made it to New York Magazine, Time Out New York, AM New York, and more. Here's a sample of their recent work:

Afro-Punk Block Party

How was everyone's weekend? Mine was very busy but a lot of fun^_^ My aunt and her family came for a visit over the weekend and I was showing them around the city. I was a pretty GOOD tour guide and baby sitter!

I love New York City, there's always something going on Afropunk Block Party. It features live music, DJs, DIY fashion, food and craft vendors. This is NOT the usual street fair, it features the best underground and local artists and artisans. Featured musicians include Jon Forte, Maiysha,Joya Bravo, and more! Also, Krow Hill has a fashion line that "represents all things Brooklyn" and they are selling there!

Once again, the 2nd annual Afropunk Block Party will be taking place on Sunday, July 12, from 1-8pm, on Clinton Ave between Myrtle and Willoughby. Post a comment if you have any questions!

Have a super nice week!

Collective Concept PR or CCPR

Hey everyone! I am very excited because this is my first day at work! I am working at this really cool company called Collective Concept PR (CCPR). You can find out more about it here:
http://www.collectiveconceptpr.com/

I am sitting in a room with my laptop on, ummm, my laps and eating cookies. Basically, what I do is watch interesting youtube video, facebook, twitter and write blogs, like this one, to spread news about our company. It's a really cool job. My boss is SUPER nice and the atmosphere of the place is very relaxing.

Oh, and as I was checking out the youtube videos, I found a really interesting one with young Michael Jackson giving an interview and singing "With a Child's Heart" on Soul Train. What amazing talents he had! He will always be missed.
